White Willow Bark, provided by Douglas Laboratories, is an herbal extract from a deciduous shrub native to South Europe and Asia. Ancient Egyptians used white willow bark for inflammation. Native Americans used it as one of their traditional herbs. White Willow Bark is often called the "herbal aspirin."
White willow bark, also commonly known as Salix alba, white willow and willow bark, has been widely used for many conditions causing pain, inflammation, or fever.*
Warnings: This product contains salicylates. Do NOT combine with with other products containing salicylates, such as aspirin or Oil of Wintergreen. Do NOT take this product if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or if you are nursing. Children under the age of 16 who have a cold, influenza, chickenpox, or other viral illness should NOT take this product. Using salicylates may result in Reye's syndrome, a potentially fatal condition. Individuals with stomach problems or ulcers should consult their physician before using this product. If you are taking any prescription medications, consult your physician before using this product. Individuals with concerns about blood clotting or who are taking medications that alter blood clotting should consult with their physician before taking this product. Use of this product may result in stomach upset, nausea or ringing in the ears.
