SPR Oil (Sprain and Tissue Repair) is traditionally known as an aromatic liniment. It is applied topically and is used for different problems associated with bruises, torn muscles or ligaments, pain or damage to the joints, twisted ankles, arthritis, rheumatism, gout or bursitis. It is also indicated for overworked or sore joints, such as tennis elbow, or when over-exercise causes sore muscles and joints. It is also recommended in all types of chiropractic use. Massage SPR into the spine and the cervical spine or neck area. This should prove useful, especially where trouble is encountered in getting a particular adjustment to hold. This formula should be especially helpful with muscle spasms where irritation is present because of an injury to the spine or because the spine is very much out of alignment. This oil can be rubbed into the spinal area and driven into the skin by ultrasound, with hot fermentations, or with hydrotherapy.* KEY INGREDIENTS:
Olive Oil as a pure carrier. Arnica Flowers (Arnica montana) - Arnica is a universal remedy for the things previously mentioned, as well as any deep muscular soreness, or tenderness. Arnica helps promote healing of wounds, bruises and irritations. It is also used for weak circulation and for impaired nerve innervation. Additionally, Arnica helps relieve swelling and congestion in the area of trauma.* St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) - This herb is used to heal bruises, torn muscles and tendons and is indicated for the treatment of nerve damage sometimes associated with these conditions. It has the ability to quiet nerves and thus reduce pain.* Calendula Flowers (Calendula officinalis) - Calendula speeds tissue healing. It is used here to stimulate the repair of damaged cells.* Cajeput Oil (Melaleuca cajaputi), Camphor Crystals (Laurus camphora), and Witch Hazel Leaves (Hamamelis virginica) - Used in aromatic liniments because they impart an aromatic quality and help warm up the area where applied, which increases circulation. This brings healthy blood into the area and helps remove congestion, which is important for rapid repair of wounds, bruises and contusions, and swelling.*
