Rapidade Muscular Endurance Formula (Jittery Orange) features a new hydration and energy technology (CT2M3 Technology). When you drink Rapidade consistently during exercise, it will keep you hydrated and provide a constant stream of energy from start to finish. It is easy on the stomach, contains all natural flavors and colors, and no artificial anything!*
CT2M3 Technology is a proprietary blend of Taurine, Theobromine, Calcium, and Magnesium and is part of our CNS Technology research. What makes this so unique is that this technology increases oxidation, hydration, muscular endurance, and energy levels while decreasing muscular cramps and CNS fatigue.*
NADH (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) provides consistent energy throughout your entire workout, and is essential to optimal performance. Research shows that NADH used in Rapidade extends muscular endurance by stimulating ATP production in muscle cells.*
Carbohydrate profile (Dextrose and a small amount of Fructose utilize a dual glucose transport system) • Extends endurance* • Provides constant energy* • Delays muscle fatigue* • Decreases (CNS) Central Nervous System fatigue*
As athletes, we are all looking for the magic bullet – always trying to extend our knowledge to determine what will help us perform better. One of the biggest controversies is over the type of carbohydrates one should be consuming during and after competition. With this in mind we need to back up to what are we providing fuel for and why.
The misconception is that we consume to fuel muscles – and although partially correct, the main reason we are consuming carbohydrates is to provide glucose for our brain. Our brain's only fuel source is glucose, and during exercise it can consume around 3-5 grams per minute depending on intensity of exercise. The body provides glucose via the blood at a constant rate, and therefore is constantly being drained of its glucose source, primarily by the brain; so here-in lies the problem to resolve.*
Our body's ability to metabolize carbohydrates is dependent on the type of carbs consumed and “gastric emptying,“ the process of digestion where the stomach releases food into the body, and osmolarity plays a major role in how this is done. The rate of oxidation, meaning how fast carbohydrates are delivered as glucose into the bloodstream, is dependent upon gastric emptying and the following:*
• Particle size - dextrose/glucose (simple, single chain carbohydrates) are oxidized faster while maltodextrins (complex, multi-chain carbohydrates) are oxidized slower* • Osmolarity, the number of particles in solution*

Dedicated Athlete begins with an honest approach and a philosophy of sharing their research and studies with consumers. This philosophy is one of the key differences between Dedicated Athlete Inc. and their competitors. The primary focus of the company has been and will always be on health and recovery of the athlete. Any athlete can train; it’s how they maintain their health and recover from training that makes the difference. Dedicated Athlete products are very unique. Innovation is their backbone! First, they do not mimic other products for the sheer sake of selling another product. Every formula is developed for a unique and specific reason and is quite different from anything else on the market.
Dedicated Athlete is not an enormous company with money to burn for research. Research starts at the ground level with sound ingredients that show promise. The second step is formulating the product and making sure all the ingredients work synergistically to maximize its potential.
In the course of their research, Dedicated Athlete has learned one thing: when you mix a bunch of stuff together in the body, the reactions you expected can completely change due to individual biochemistry. Therefore, you will never know the true effect of a product until you start to research and document the reactions of individuals to specific formulas. Case studies proceed with individual feedback from people participating in the research. Dedicated Athlete also gets feedback from testing the product at the highest level of competition.
Dedicated Athlete places heavy emphasis on real world application. After all, this is where the product is used, and thus deserves the most attention. Dedicated Athlete implements independent controlled studies to further their own research. The final step is ongoing. Innovation is at the forefront of what they do. Dedicated Athlete never really understood how companies that never change their products can still claim to be leaders in their field. Dedicated Athlete will always fine-tune products with the latest research to stay ahead of the game.
CNS technology is the current and latest technology that sets Dedicated Athlete apart from everyone else! Being honest and listening to all feedback is at the forefront of Dedicated Athlete's philosophy as a company, and this will allow them to become the absolute best company in sports nutrition. |
 |
There is without a doubt great concern for quality at the ingredient, purchasing, and manufacturing level. Olympicand professional athletes use Dedicated Athlete's nutritional line and they cannot afford to make a mistake. Therefore:
1. Every ingredient comes with a certificate of analysis 2. Every product lot run comes with its own certificate of analysis 3. An independent lab is used to assure accuracy with random sampling of all products
Dedicated Athlete is more than just some dietary supplement company. Dedicated Athlete is a company people are proud to be associated with, not just because they have great products, but also because they are doing things differently and are more focused on customers. This is the biggest difference between Dedicated Athlete and their competitors.

No matter what type of athlete you are and no matter what type of training you follow, The Central Engine is, by Dedicated Athlete's definition, the overriding mechanism that will either make or break us as successful athletes.
The Central Engine is the soul. It is our ability to think and move. It is our passion and sensation. It is our motivation and emotion. It is a complex system of physical processors and conductors that create thought, impulse, emotion, work, and action. Anything we generate as human beings has its root in our Engine. It can be explained physically, chemically, tangibly; yet it has an intangible capacity to shape and change who we are.
With this impressive profile, the Engine must be considered central to any long-term plan we undertake. As athletes, a deep understanding of the Central Engine and its role in growth and progression is essential, so that a long-term plan can be established. The Engine is the manager of all other physical systems in the body. To exclude it from a purposeful plan is to leave out the most powerful tool in any achievement.
As athletes, our pursuit is long and arduous. The Engine has an extreme challenge to maintain peak function through the long haul. The Engine can authorize huge growth if stimulated, or cause deep depression if not stimulated. Finding ways to remain stimulated through a process becomes a high priority and a daunting challenge. Training that becomes mundane or tedious, regardless of its theoretical merit, becomes a burden to the system that buries motivation and growth. The Engine has the power to promote huge gains if the training is fun and stimulating. There is a great deal of emotion and personality involved in the formation of champions, and each one will have a unique set of stimuli that propel him or her to excellence.
That said, the challenge comes in following the champion's agenda while satisfying the inherent desires of the athlete. There are few things sadder than a jaded individual whose potential is never realized. Many times the greatest challenge is finding the motivation to keep up the intensity required to succeed. Your Engine is a system that runs on the electrical fluctuations caused by ionic gradients in the cellular recesses of our body, initiating in our brain and controlling every movement or thought we make, from the quiver of an eyelash to the thrust of the quadriceps. The heart, not the one that beats in our chest, but the one that makes us passionate and unique, is absolutely critical to driving that spark. Understanding and manipulating the aspects of the body that control drive and passion is no less important than understanding the more tangible, mechanical aspects.
The Engine is the hub. Every function of our existence is dependent upon it. All aspects of our individual lives radiate like spokes from the hub to the rim, forming the wheel that becomes our totality. The strength of the wheel is dependent upon the balance of the spokes and their connection to the hub. When one spoke is weakened or broken, the wheel may wobble, but it won’t collapse, as the hub stabilizes from the center and disperses the load through the other spokes. Many spokes may break, but the hub stays firm. Without the hub, there can be no wheel. If the spokes of the wheel become too weak and the stresses on the wheel are too great, the wheel will collapse as it becomes overburdened. Then the hub must be built upon one spoke at a time and reinforced and balanced to form a strong wheel again. The wheel must be constantly maintained by adding strong spokes and removing weak ones.
To maintain drive and creative spark, we must constantly audit our lives and our actions, eliminating those things we find unhealthy and encouraging those that help us achieve our goals. This is something that only becomes easier with practice. Stress-inducing activities and thoughts are negative, while actions and ideas that enthuse and cheer us are positive. That’s why training towards a goal is positive only as long as we’re excited and passionate. The day we lose that passion, training becomes a stress. Athletes in pursuit of their full potential cannot expect to reach their goal unless all peripheral and obvious stresses are minimized, and positive elements are maximized.
The science behind the power your Engine generates is vast, as it pertains to the neuromuscular realm. Yet we must also attend to the realm beyond the physical, as the physical realm is a slave to subjectivity. Adherence to canned programs and monthly recipes must be rejected in favor of the creative process. The art of coaching, not merely its science, must be recognized and embraced. We must maintain at all times methodological credibility, while creating a program that each individual can soar on.
We will create greatness from mediocrity, form hardened champions from raw stock, and learn to understand the dynamics of human performance and the subtleties of creativity in the process.
Maintaining the Central Engine:
If you don't know where you are, how can you know where you're going?
Maintaining your Central Engine begins with your dreams and self evaluation, the very reasons you are an athlete. By not addressing these issues, you may be holding yourself back. These issues need to be resolved before taking on new challenges.
Self Evaluation
This is a sample self evaluation devoted to assessing your strengths and weaknesses, not only as an athlete, but as a person. This evaluation is for you and you alone; however, your coach should have a general idea of what's going on with you internally. That way you're both on the same wavelength. Intimate details don't need to be shared unless you choose to share them.
To start, answer these questions:
Do I believe in developing myself to my full potential? Do I consistently strive to improve myself? What have I actually done to improve myself in the past year? Do I have consistent feedback for my improvements? Do I have a source for continuing my education? Do I consider myself a successful athlete/person? What are my past achievements? What are my mental strengths? What are my mental weaknesses? What are my physical strengths? What are my physical weaknesses? Are my weaknesses fixed or permanent? If so, why? Do I lead an active social life? Do I make friends easily? Would I like to be more socially active? Is my social circle large or small? Do I have more than one social circle?
These are all questions that will help you consistently improve. Every time you reach a plateau, it is always a great idea to re-evaluate yourself. |

| Why do athletes use Vitamin B12? Vitamin B12 has long been held in high regard for its purported capacity to increase energy. While this claim is largely anecdotal, there is no disputing the decline in health, performance, and energy that B12 deficiency can produce.* While serious deficiencies are not a common occurrence in normally healthy people, an athlete's body is taxed by intense workouts and dietary modifications in ways that non-athletes' bodies are not.
Toxicity of Vitamin B12:
None known. Vitamin B12 is well tolerated even at high dosages. Vitamin B12 is used in several Dedicated Athlete formulas, including EP-NO, The Athletes Multivitamin, and Rapid Recharge. Vitamin B12 Features: Did you know that for every 100 mcg (micrograms) of Vitamin B12, as little as 1 mcg may be absorbed? Some companies boast that they can get higher absorption by using sublingual (under the tongue), liquid, capsule, and patch forms, all of which are backed by little to no research.
Vitamin B12 comes in different forms such as cyanocobalamin (most common), methyl-cyanocobalamin, and hydroxy-cyanocobalamin at 1% to 100% activity levels. The problem is that most companies don't use enough 'active' B12 in their formulas to make a difference. Dedicated Athlete uses the right amounts with the highest activity to ensure you're actually getting B12 in your system.* Dedicated Athlete uses two forms, cyanocobalamin and methyl-cyanocobalamin, both at 100% activity.* The amounts used can help increase energy, speed recovery, and maintain good health throughout the year.* |

| Endurance athletes (such as cyclists, triathletes and marathon runners) may need more iron than most people, due to accelerated destruction of red blood cells, muscle injuries, loss of iron through sweat, and over-training with insufficient time to reabsorb iron. Dedicated Athlete always recommends that you get your blood checked and reviewed by a certified physician or healthcare practitioner before consuming any iron supplements.* |
