Pro Dophilus contains Lactobacillus Acidophillus. The first published reports of the healthful effects of lactobacillus acidophillus date back to the early 1900's. Since that time, numerous reports have been published concerning the beneficial effects of these micro-organisms for intestinal health. As natural inhabitants of the human intestinal tract these organisms are needed to restore and/or maintain proper balance of intestinal flora and inhibit the growth of pathogenic organisms.*

PLEASE NOTE: The manufacturer had a mis-print on some of its bottle labels. A few of the bottles will read 1/2 teaspoon per serving. The actual serving size is 1/3 teaspoon.

This is because the micro-organisms contained in this product are delicate and may be perishable from prolonged exposure to intense heat (short-term exposure is OK, and not a concern).

Heat Sensitive Products shipping within the USA via 2nd Day Air may ship (depart from the warehouse) on Monday through Wednesday, but cannot ship out on Thursday nor Friday due to the potential for spoilage and lost potency. Similarly, such orders shipping within the USA via Next Day Air may ship Monday through Thursday, but cannot ship out on Friday.

Customers who choose to ship Heat Sensitive Products via Standard and Ground shipping services agree to take full responsibility for the condition of the products received. We can not and do not accept returns on Heat Sensitive products.
