Pregnenolone, by Douglas Laboratories, provides 5 mg of pregnenolone in a sublingual, bisect tablet. Pregnenolone is a natural steroid hormone produced from cholesterol. It serves as a parent hormone for all adrenal cortical steroids, including progesterone, testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, dihydrotestosterone, aldosterone, cortisol and estradiol. Levels of pregnenolone decrease during periods of fatigue, with age, or in conditions of inadequate cholesterol production. Studies have shown a 60% decrease in the production of pregnenolone at age 75 (as compared to levels at age 35).* Pregnenolone has been shown to support the immune system, mood and memory.* WARNING: Not for use by individuals under 18.
