The proper preparation of the glandulars is essential to insure the value of the product. Properly processed glandular material is effective because the biologically active components such as enzymes, soluble proteins, natural lipid factors, vitamins, minerals and hormone precursors are not eliminated or destroyed. Our glandulars are lyophilized (freeze-dried), which means the glands are quickly frozen at the time of collection and subjected to a high vacuum to remove moisture by direct vaporization from the frozen state. Nutricology® glandulars are lyophilized (freeze–dried), which means the material is frozen, then subjected to a high vacuum that vaporizes moisture directly from the solid state, thereby maintaining their biological activity. They are highly potent and are generally well tolerated.* The manufacturer suggests that glandular products not be refrigerated, but stored in a cool, dry place. Humidity in refrigerators may reduce their stability.*
