Modified Citrus Pectin is different from other pectin because in its preparation.* It is "modified" by rapid heat and pH changes occur, which reduces the molecular weight of the pectin molecule. This new substance has a binding affinity for mutated cells and may potentially inhibit their ability to attach to other parts of the body.* Hypoallergenic.
