It was during Salmonson's research on nerve cell growth that a very unique molecule was discovered in an essential oil that caused nerve endings to separate. The ability to move nerve cell endings apart from each other would actually cause an interruption of the electrical pain impulse traveling to the brain.

Additional essential oils were added to these unique molecules to give the formula stability, skin compatibility and fragrance.

Shortly thereafter, an assistant at Claire Ellen tried this unique product on her abdomen when she felt the onset of her menstrual cramps. Much to everyone's surprise, her menstrual cramps “disappeared” within 10 minutes after the formula was applied….and a new and exciting product, “Menastil,” was born.

Additional tests were conducted on women with Endometriosis, not only on the abdomen, but in the pelvic and tailbone areas as well. Most of the women reported major relief after applying Menastil.

Clinical trials were conducted under strict FDA guidelines and the results were even better than expected. Efficacy rates were in the high 80th percentile and there were no reported side effects. Thousands of women were given the product to sample and to date there have been no reported side effects.

The inner uterine wall becomes thickened with nutrients and develops an enriched blood supply. If the egg is not fertilized, the uterus produces a hormone called prostaglandin. This hormone causes the wall of the uterus to contract and expand thus causing the egg and the extra nutrients to be expelled. This is menstruation and can be associated with painful and sometime debilitating cramps.

Running through these muscular walls are tiny blood vessels, which supply oxygen and vital nutrients to the muscle tissues. When these muscles contract during menstruation, these blood vessels become constricted. This will reduce the amount of oxygen getting into the muscle tissue. The muscles are literally starved of oxygen and this lack of oxygen is what actually causes pain. 

Pain impulses are carried by nerve cells which are attached to those muscle fibers. The place where the nerve cell is attached to the muscle fiber is called a neuromuscular junction. These electrical signals then travel across the network of nerve fibers and eventually end in the brain by way of the spinal cord.

The brain interprets these signals as a pin in the uterine muscle walls. These are known as menstrual cramps.

Menastil is applied to the surface of the skin, right at the site of the pain. The Menastil causes the nerve cells to disconnect at the place where one nerve cell connects with the next. This is called a synapse.

Menastil disrupts the passage of the pain impulses and hence reduces the amount of pain that is being carried to the brain. Even though the muscles continue contracting and relaxing, the number of impulses being carried to the brain is lessened. This will result in a feeling of reduced pain.

The level of pain and discomfort is registered by the nervous system of the body. The system is made up of nerve cells that register the degree of irritation and transfers these signals to the brain. The brain interprets these signals and transfers them as feelings of pain.

Menastil, when applied topically, inhibits these impulse signals as they travel from one nerve cell to the next. The junction where these nerve cells connect with each other is called a synapse. Menastil cause the endings of these nerve cells to retreat from each other and retract towards the cell body.

This results in a reduction in the intensity of these impulses traveling to the brain and therefore a lessening in the amount of extreme discomfort that is being registered by the brain.

Menastil has been clinically tested and registered with the FDA.

Clinical trails have shown that the vast majority of women tested found that after using Menastil they experienced noticeable relief to complete relief.

Menastil contains only natural ingredients. There is no need for a prescription and Menastil may be purchased over the counter.

Women with severe uterine discomfort, when taking Menastil, describe it as taking the edge off, by dramatically easing their discomfort and making their pain a lot more manageable and less disruptive to their lives.

Step 1 At the first sign of menstrual related discomfort, remove the twist cap from the Menastil applicator bottle.

Step 2 Turn the applicator bottle upside down and gently rub the applicator top on the area of you body where you feel menstrual discomfort. NOTE: Wash off any lotions or oils you may have applied to your skin in the area you’re going to be applying Menastil.

Step 3 The solution will not dispense from the bottle until gentle pressure is applied by rubbing the open applicator tip over the area of discomfort. Rub gently using 3 to 4 light coats of Menastil in a continuous motion.

Step 4 The area you cover with Menastil should be as large as your closed hand. The solution will remain moist on your skin for a few minutes.

Step 5 Maximum relief is attained when Menastil is applied while in a restful and relaxed position. In addition, keeping the area warm often enhances relief.

Step 6 Many women will feel relief from menstrual discomfort in as little as 5 – 10 minutes. Additional applications of Menastil may be necessary to achieve a desirable comfort level.

Step 7 Wash hands thoroughly after each use.

Is it a cure?
Your cramps will likely reappear during your next cycle and require another application of Menastil to relieve them. Menastil provides temporary relief from your menstrual cramps, but it does not cure them. However, many of the subjects who tested Menastil found that one application was effective for the entire menstrual cycle.

What if I'm nursing, pregnant or taking oral contraceptives (i.e. the Pill)?
We suggest that you check with your physician prior to using this product to ensure that Menastil is appropriate to use.

What if I get it in my eyes?
Flush immediately with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists. We suggest that you wash your hands after each use.

What does topical mean?
Topical means the application of Menastil directly to the skin, on the area of discomfort. It is not ingested or taken orally.

Will it hurt my skin?
It is unlikely. Special care has been taken to add other natural essential oils to the mixture to reduce possible skin irritation. However, if you do develop irritation, we suggest you stop using the product and consult your physician.

Is there alcohol in Menastil?
No, there is no alcohol in Menastil.

Do I need a prescription?
No, Menastil is a nonprescription, over the counter product.
