Glucosamine Sulfate with Chondroitin combines our popular glucosamine sulfate with low molecular weight, marine-source chondroitin sulfate. Our chondroitin sulfate has an average molecular weight less than 16,000 daltons -- less than half the molecular weight of most chondroitin products. This results in improved absorption.* Glucosamine, which occurs naturally in the body, plays a key role in the construction of cartilage -- the tough connective tissue that cushions the joints. Glucosamine stimulates the production of glycosaminoglycans (the key structural components of cartilage) as well as the incorporation of sulfur into cartilage. Sulfur is necessary for making and repairing cartilage.* Chondroitin occurs naturally in the body. It is a major component of cartilage. Chondroitin helps keep cartilage healthy by absorbing fluid (particularly water) into the connective tissue.
