Ginseng Supreme Liquid Extract contains a blend of American Ginseng and Eleuthero (formerly Siberian Ginseng, or Eleutherococcus senticosus). These adaptogenic herbs support the body's adaption and response to stressful situations.* Eleuthero is an adaptogen, a substance that helps the body adapt to various types of stress. Through Russian research Eleuthero became the model for all other adaptogens. In the late ‘60’s and ‘70’s studies were conducted in over 2,100 healthy people. These studies showed that Eleuthero increased the ability of subjects to withstand stress such as heat, noise, motion, exercise, and increase in workload. Subjects also experienced increases in mental alertness and work output. Eleuthero contains a group of constituents known as Eleutherosides. It also contains Triterpenoid sapponins, and Glycans, among other lesser constituents. The exact mechanism of action of Eleuthero and the significance of each of its various constituents is not yet fully understood.*

Gaia Herbs Eleuthero is available as a liquid extract and a liquid Phyto-Cap which contains the equivalent of 5 grams of powdered Eleuthero root per one capsule. This is a very significant dosage of Eleuthero and moststudies used between 1-4 grams of whole root or 2-8 ml of a 1:2 liquid extract. Suggested Use
