Chitosan X-Tra goes a step beyond vegetable fibers. Chitosan is a naturally occurring marine fiber extracted from ocean shrimp shells. It actually attracts fats, soaks them up like a fat sponge and holds onto them... binding up to 12 times its own weight in dietary fat. Since chitosan is completely indigestible and non-absorbable, fats bound to chitosan cannot be absorbed.*
The LipoSan Ultra® in this product is a unique and proprietary dietary fiber formulation containing optimised chitosan for enhanced solubility and fat binding performance. Liposan Ultra® is 90% soluble in stomach acid in one minute, compared to one hour or more for other chitosan products, and is proven to significantly reduce body weight in human clinical studies. Lipase has been added to help thin fat molecules so the chitosan may attack and carry them out of the body.*
